Too much to really mention as theres just so much music available these days

Will say though that the Kendrick, J.Cole, Drake is the last generation of rappers i could respect theyre work

For the life of me can not really get into anything after that, ill give it a spin admit its not for me and keep it moving

For whats been mentioned in the thread already WOULD STROGLY RECOMMEND GANG STARR, without a doubt one of the best yet, dope beats and rhymes galore

I got into hip hop back in 1984, but I am proud to say I avoided ALL of this trap shyt. I have no knowledge of trap music whatsoever

YN problems :mjlol:

I guess my "gap" would be the deluge of terrible soundcloud mumble rappers after XXXtentacion and others blew the gate open. I mean.. I definitely know a lot more than the average 48 year old but some of that shyt is just unlistenable.

Also the EARLY ass hip hop from 1977 to like 1983.. that Spoonie Gee etc. shyt.. I know it but i don't KNOW it.

Also a gap for me. I listened to it once just to say I did it but I'm not gonna act like I enjoyed it šŸ˜‚

Not my bag either but there are artisits like Atmosphere, Brother Ali, El-P that I want to be more knowledgable on. I'am sure there's some heat there.
Brother Ali is worth looking into. I liked some of the earlier atmosphere stuff. El-p is cool but I think he's better now
