Is the Harlem Tavern any good?
The Tavern is a good spot if you like a super social atmosphere. They usually have music going on and if there's a big game on TV (regardless of the sport) it will be on and attract a crowd. And it's in a good location. The bartenders are cool as fukk and there's always some decent looking females in there.

You should try Melba's on 114th. It's a smallish place but a good alternative to Amy Ruth's, which is played out, but reliable.

Dinosaur BBQ has been trash since they moved to their new spot and Floridita (right next to it on 125th/Riverside area) fell off too since they moved

Red Rooster is okay but for drinks/socializing

Harlem Social is trash when it comes to food

Maison Harlem is a dope ass French restaurant but is strictly if you're going there with wifey/your main chick. Don't waste this spot on a jump off

We were going to Amy Ruths at first, plan B was the Harlem Tavern. We settled on this buffet called Jacob Resturant. She aint want to be bother so we kept it low key. Food was slamming. Every dish was good or looked good. It wasn't some place you sit and eat but we sat and ate there anyway. I loaded up on the mac n cheese, beef short ribs, pork ribs, curry goat, fried fish, oxtails, spanish rice, candied yams and veggies. Fiance just snorted her food it seemed. The buffet was heaven for a pregnant woman. The variety of food was a big plus. We'll go back again. They had west indian food as well as soul food. Food plus 2 ice-teas came up to $35. We drove around Harlem checking out the other spots you brehs mentioned +rep. I will keep them in mind for the next time. We drove around for a bit then drove back home to NJ in 30 mins.

:russ: There's 429 soul food spots in Harlem. Just dive down any street and you will see 10soulfood signs every 2 blocks. Jacob is good, I fukk wit manas soulfood too.

I didnt know that :ohhh: Anywhere they dont fukk up the seasoning trying to cater to white folks is alright by me. The gentrification of Harlem is so demonic and real :lupe:

Real talk- NYC Mexican Food sucks.

There's a spot or two. All the Mexicans in the city cook other countries food. Shyt weird. There's a good taco truck in the East Village.
