Yeah I remember Heyman mentioning this at the 2001 survivor series :mjlol:. Seriously who thought that rule made sense?
You didn't have mats on the outside back in the day, just cold, dirty concrete. I guess the argument is getting thrown over the top is more dangerous than through the middle. Either way, I'm trying to avoid getting thrown outside if I'm a wrestler.

This was talked about on the Bruce Prichard podcast:

The Dudley Boyz threatened to pull tha lever and pour concrete on Paul Bearer if Taker lost da match to them.

Taker goes on to beat the Dudley’s, then goes to pull the lever himself even though he won da match.

Bruce said Vince’s reasoning behind it was “If Taker was willing to kill Paul Bearer, think about what he’d do to his opponent/enemy.”

:bryan::childplease::mindblown::snoop::what::dead:

yea not like Taker had killed his family, thrown a man off of HIAC, kidnapped his boss' daughter, and tried to sacrifice a wrestler already

that shyt was really gonna put Taker over as :demonic:

WCW Uncensored 1999 - Flair vs Hogan "Barbed Wired Steel Cage First Blood Match" for the WCW Championship

They made it VERY clear that the only way to win is to make the other person bleed first..... so tell me why:
1. Why this match have THREE stipulations? A "barbed wired hardcore match", "Steel Cage Match" and "First Blood Match"... it was just overkill to the fullest
2. Flair was the first to bleed and NOT lose
3. Flair won the match by pinfall in a FIRST BLOOD RULES match

As a kid I was like :wtf:, commentators were hella confused as well like :dwillhuh::yeshrug:

he was clearly supposed to pin all of them but then said fukk it because the referee counted anyway

Thats one thing I mess about WCW..... I miss the elevated ramp that was as high as the ring.

That was always dope to me and just brought a different element to match especially outside brawls

Hulk Hogan twice in a strap match ending the match by pinning his opponents and it counting.

in the 1st match tagged the 3rd turnbuckle, hit the leg drop...1...2...3 :what:

in the 2nd match..tagged the 3rd turnbuckle, hit the leg drop...1...2...3..then tagged the 4th turnbuckle
WELL YOU SEE, BROTHER! THE THING WAS, DUDE!

I got nothing.:manny:

FLAIR BLED FIRST BUT IT WAS THE WRONG BLOOD TYPE AND WASN'T COMPATIBLE WITH THE STIPULATIONS, BROTHER!

The Steel Asylum match on the January 4 2010 episode of Impact. If anyone hasn't seen the Steel Asylum match then the best way to describe it is a big red cage that looks like the Elimination Chamber minus the pods with a big hole at the top of the cage. The only way to win the match was to escape the cage. So TNA booked Homicide to win the match but he couldn't climb out of the cage so people were laying there selling for an eternity while he tried to climb out he just said fukk it and hit everyone with a pipe and had the match thrown out.
