What are some of your BIGGEST LIFE REGRETS in your PAST?

In 2000 i was top of my Navy IT class( 4 of 30) so we had 30 orders (duty stations) mostly ships but a few land duties too. We picked by class ranking, we had:

18 Norfolk, Virginia - Don't know nothing about VA or the East Coast outside of the little rap and videos I saw
6 Japan - Thought about this one, but too far for a country boy. My female bestie was there and told me how good nikkas was eating back then.
2 San Diego- I know Cali had great weather and women.
1 Special Boat in France-
and a few more I cant remember.

Back then we didn't have a lot of access to the internet and I didn't have anyone to ask about these stations. There was 2 orders to a aircraft carrier and Virginia. My roommate and good friend was picking 5th, so we decided on those, knowing a wanted to go to San Diego, but I didn't want to go to VA alone. Anyway this fool got kicked out for smoking weed a year later anyway. VA sucks for most sailors back then, even though things turned out pretty well for me, I feel like I wouldn't had to struggle so much in Cali. Feel like I wouldve found a way to be rich too bcuz there's so much money out there.

I was a really good pitcher in middle school (lefty too), gave it up for Basketball in High School, was real good but short because of my late growth spurt. 2 of my friends who I played baseball with daily and was better than made it to the majors. I went into the Navy and grew 5 more inches. I'm convinced I wouldve been a helluva pitcher. Hell any lefty throwing 90mph is rich. I probably can throw 70 still. What a dumbazz I am.

I really wish I took to Engineering, civil engineering in particular

I got in trouble in le skreets and basically had to decide on a dime what I would do so I picked Finance because I didn’t know anything, nobody in my fam had the experience to guide me.

But as I’ve gotten older and gained Knowledge of Self I now understand the science of nation-building, I would have a much greater feeling of accomplishment knowing that I built a bridge that facilitates commerce. Instead I’m approaching 30 and I'm just a monkey. (Finance term not racial). And if I retire to Africa like I want to, I would’ve dedicated my golden years to building infrastructure & could transition that into politics easily cuz all them nikkas is krupt..fukk around and be pan African president of Burkina Faso until the CIA assassinate me
