What are some ridiculous excuses you’ve given or heard to leave a party early?

Had a dude come through... Ate up all the food...then about 30 minutes later said “I gotta leave. I got laundry to do”.

A friend has OCD. We were watching a game at his house before a party. One of the living room chairs was moved a bit so a new “chair ring” was going to form on the carpet if left for a bit. He left the party we went to after I told him I didn’t move the chair back to the original ring to move it himself
