Also don't like the whole champion loses a non title match to put the challenger in the race for the belt. I don't even remember that stuff happening back in the day honestly.

EVERYTIME it's a non title match, you KNOW the champion is losing...you KNOW it. Well...at least for any title holder that isn't the WHC

That's been the case since day one. Its nothing new at all.... Other than the #1 contender, how would someone challenge for the belt? Personal feuds every single time? While there are some downsides to the champion losing a non-title mathc, it does help to build some heat on the challenger (usually a babyface)
