Where It’s Not Safe
Anyone from the 70s and 80s remember how many people smoked. Ash trays in cars, smoke filled restaurants. No it's just a small group of people huddle outside.
Lowkey wild to think I saw more smokers growing up in the 90’s than now, and it just dwindled over time

Even in the military (notorious tobacco users) , dudes was vaping or using e cigs instead of traditional cigarettes

This is one of the reasons I wouldn't like to reincarnate

The thought of being a cigarette smoker in the next life just makes me sick :scust:

If this ain't the truth....and the smell stays in your damn clothes :scusthov: I don't see how folks do it
I don’t even like getting into people’s cars who smoke. People get into my car and ask if they can smoke, and I’m straight....No.
:unimpressed:

And don’t get me started on the ones who smoke, and have to keep rolling down the window, and it’s cold as hell outside, and now the car is cold because of the smoking.

I've been smoking since I was 16 (now 37). Here is why I started and continue to smoke (now vape):

  1. I tried cigarettes for the first time when I was really depressed and on some "fukk the world shyt." I'm like, I hate life anyway, might as well smoke cigs
  2. I got used to smoking with other people. It was fun, for real. And you get a buzz in the beginning (which goes away after like 2 weeks, and you just smoke to keep nicotine in your body, so you don't go through headaches and shyt.
  3. I'm addicted to nicotine and that addiction is real
  4. I like taking a break from work every hour or two to smoke outside for like 5 minutes. It breaks up the day very well
  5. I'm a self destructive type of person :manny:
  6. It's social. I met all of my friends in college through smoking outside of our dorms. This is a key thing to smoking when you are younger. You have a ready made reason to hang out with people. It's like, "I need a smoke. You wanna go outside real quick?".
  7. Smoking cigs goes real well after alcohol and weed, back when I was doing that sort of thing
  8. It gives you that "fukk the world. I don't care vibe" which I found to be useful
  9. The media always shows actors and shyt smoking cigs. Look at like every netflix and hbo show. They just smoke constantly. I bring that up because it normalizes smoking. It's like, shyt James Franco and Johnny Depp smoke like crazy. I can do the same. It's fine

Most smokers I know do it to relieve stress.

I always figured it was that or the buzz you get, kinda like you do from coffee/caffeine.
Mental gymnastics on their part. Nicotine is a stimulant. If anything, it makes shyt worse, they're just holding off their withdrawals. There are zero positive effects of cigarettes, especially mass produced shyt with tar and additives in it.

Yeah, seems like it's even worse when you're in the car with it, in a confined space. shyt is suffocating. And rolling down the window doesn't help much from my experience

I'm just glad I never picked up that habit. Seems to age you a lot quicker, too.
