most of these cats in the game that are trap producers probably don't even know music theory, and their brains are fried from popping percs, xans and sipping lean. they are stuck making the same shyt with just a different synth or something. it makes learning music theory not even worth it to the aspiring producer/composer.

It'll help you understand music better and also will help if you ever decide to learn any instrument. My bass teacher could sight read any music you put in front of him and that's impressive as hell. It takes years to master though.

NO POINT,

(1) That is just Western Culture making music into some "technical" art form, and that's why White People could never develop the Blues, Jazz and Rock N Roll...Because they were taught "after this chord, then this chord must follow, and when use these chords, you must use these melodies"...

It STUMPS creativity...

(2) It is more BENEFICIAL to learn how to play an instrument with or without the music theory...People in Africa and other parts of the world play BEAUTIFUL music and they don't know SHAT about "music theory"...

All they know what sounds good, and which rhythms elicits what emotions...They play by feel, and that's why the music (in my opinion) tends to be more melodic and hypnotic and even surprising than Western Music...

(3) Conclusion, Music Theory is box, don't get stuck inside of it...Make music according to feeling and rhythm, and keep it simple, that's what people LOVE...

Music is a technical art form and the vast majority of great musicians regardless of instruments have a background in theory. Learning MT makes you a way more versatile musician and learning it is a worthwhile endeavor.

I agree. I always felt that many of the things that black people do/learn is done intuitively. Maybe we it is related to our melanin production.

On the flip side people who don't produce melanin have a difficult time picking up on things intuitively so because of that they need to codify things so that other non-melanin producing people can learn as well. That's why black kids see the dab and other dances and they naturally pick it up. While non-melanated people need a step by step instructional video.

Black people have been subjugated, in our recent history, so we were convinced that we should do things the same way that non-melanated people do things. Thus, we have black people taking Music Theory classes instead of experimenting with instruments and learning intuitively like Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, or James Brown.

All those guys were musically brilliant but I don't know for sure if they took Music Theory classes.
