Just cause it doesn't say (intro) doesn't mean it's not an intro.

Right, but i still believe there's a difference. Just cuz it starts of with a particular song still doesn't make it an intro. An intro is like a "commercial" IMO. But just cuz a song introduces an album doesn't make it an intro, it's just a song - which we naturally assume is the cut that introduces the album. I just feel it's not tho.

there's Outkast influence all over this song.. (A day in the life of benjamin andre)

both songs are just long verses, with similarish atmospheric beats that reminisce on old girlfriends of the rappers when they were young.

I thinks a great tribute that completely stands on its own as a track.

Ambitionz of a Rider doesn't sound like a traditional album intro but who says Pac has to make an intro like everybody else? It's a fitting song for the beginning cause it sets the tone of project.

IMO i think there's a difference between an intro and a "intro".

Just cuz a song is the first listed song on the album doesnt neccessarily make it an intro IMO. DMX's "Intro" is an intro. Not cuz of the name but it's clearly a song meant to build up the rest of the album, hence how the song is orchestrated. "Ambitionz Az A Ridah" isn't really an intro IMO. It's just the first song on the album. Songs like "A Million And One Questions" by Jay-Z is an intro, even Pac's "Bomb First" is an intro & so on.

I don't think look at it that way most of the time tho. People just assume cuz a song is the first cut it automatically makes it an intro.

But technically i still feel it's wrong. But maybe there is a difference between an intro - actual intro, cuz that's what i think the thread was about no? and just a introduction. I know intro is short for introduction but i just feel there 2 different things.

So maybe i (or u) should wonder why certain artist name their actual intros & outros that or with ( ), and the ones who dont. Again, not saying the name makes it an intro/outro, but there's gotta be a reason to, no?
