What are the excuses for Jameis being mediocre?

I think it was @Dr. Narcisse that said the Clemson game in 2013 was Jameis at his very best and he hasn't been the same since that rape shyt. I'm starting to agree with this assessment

Yea I said if you looked at his #s before that and after that his play dropped that year and obviously his RS SO year.

I don't think thats hurting him in the league.

Panthers are a bad matchup for him. He played the best of any QB in the league so far against the great Buffalo defense.

Jameis issues are he thinks his arm is much better than it is and tries to do too much hero stuff. Right now he's too emotional and he's losing confidence on completing the deep ball. Jameis developed a sloppiness in his play that RS SO year that carried over into the NFL. Its why I think another year would have done him some good

He can still be really good, but he's gotta stop letting his emotions get the best of him.

Then again maybe since that allegation he's been playing emotional

Jameis play too much hero ball. Every play he wants to score rather than being methodical like a qb should be.

He playing checkers when he should be playing chess.

That being said I wouldn't mind him sitting a game or two to heal up. The season over anyways no need to further injury or stat pad

The whole team is a struggle fest tho. They rely on his arm too much, he’s not Aaron Rodgers or Brady caliber where you can lean on him to take you to the promised land despite the mediocre/trash defense.

We wouldn’t be talking about how bad he’s struggling if Folk was competent at any level and our defense wasn’t struggling

Despite his erratic play he’s put the Bucs in position to win a couple of games but things haven’t gone our way.

This is getting ridiculous! I know many want this young guy to succeed but, let's face it, he's not that good. All the weapons he has, there should be no reason for this team to be 2-5, let alone for him to look this bad. He needs to have a miraculous 2nd half of the season to convince the front office not to think about drafting a QB next season. There are NO excuses for him.
