so, the bible + plus a whole bunch of nwo/"elites"/illuminati shyt. weird.

that's something i've always found strange about religious folk who believe in all that shadow government/puppetmaster type of stuff. how do you reconcile the two? if you can see that "they're" doing x,y,z to "control the masses" and whatnot, how/why does religion get a pass? what makes the most powerful and widely accepted beliefs/cultural systems/worldviews of all-time exempt from being just another tool that our secret overlords use?

i'm not even just trying to be an a$$hole, i'm legit interested...cuz i don't get it. if i was a conspiracy theorist, religion sounds like a prime target to me. :manny:

Just because someone reads the Bible dosen't mean they believe it literally.

For all we know the Bible could have been just entertainment to people before television.

People might have enjoyed reading the bible then like they do watching lord of the rings now.

Just three off the top of my head:

A Short History of Nearly Everything

Book covers a shyt load of topics quickly and simply. It's a good roadmap to branch out.

Code: The Hidden Language of Computer Hardware and Software

This book is so damn good. It breaks down computer science and computer engineering down to basic levels, with simple explanations, examples and analogies. It was a breath of fresh air after doing all the hard theory and mathematics associated with the topic. If you are interested at how computers work, this is the book. No academic background needed.

Killing Pablo

About Pablo Escobar, the hunt of the drug kingpin, and Colombia at the time of the Cartel wars.

1) Richard Wright - The Outsider
2) Fyodor Dostoyevsky - The Brothers Karamazov
3 Kenneth Rosen - Discrete Mathematics and its Applications
4) Richard Wright - Native Son
5) Ayn Rand - Atlas Shrugged

These are the five books that have affected my life more than anything else. And before you guys yell at me, Atlas Shrugged is from when I was 16. Helped me grow out of depression and into productivity and self-esteem.
