Some fair points that I'ma have to chew on. I guess my view of conscious music is sometimes maybe too limited. Too be honest, I think I may not have even given too much attention to some artists because I've just thought that they don't have anything that I really want to listen to.

Trap Music is essentially Memphis's take on the Houston Sound which was a modified Bay Area sound slowed down some. Musically, 3-6 really originated the sound, and lyrically you could trace it a back to the Geto Boys sonically and to UGK in a sense of subject matter.

I can't really speak on that early90 rap seeing how I was a baby but how when nikkas hear easy e Boyz n da hood they don't associate that with the modern Day trap. That beat brazy still to this day.
