Needs to be a threat to NBA records early
No foreign accent (dont be mad at me for this, you know how the US is)
Cant crumble under media pressure
Needs a bunch of hype early (High school/College)
Probably needs to be a wing
Bonus: marketable looks

Social media following. LaMelo Ball came into league with alot of social media followers. In future when it's time to vote for All Star Game starters he can break records off of that. Skill/popularity are definetely 2 factors

Unfortunately you probably have to get involved in some sort of drama. Bron didn't fully become Bron until he became polarizing. Kobe was polarizing. Barring a rule change, you won't be able to do it with anything on the court like Steph, as we've pretty much pushed the 3 to it's limit and they don't want to you post...the game has become so homogenized. Maybe a guy that finds a way to change that within the current structure can be the face. On top of that, gotta at least be in the playoffs consistently, as that is where stars are made.
