the feeling in the air right before a big storm comes in.... esp on the beach watching the ocean go HAM before a storm rolls in makes you realize how tiny and insignifcant\significant you really are.

i remember a few hours right before hurricane IKE hit....going outside and just sitting there. it was eerie yet peaceful. so windy. never felt wind like that in houston. but a completely "normal" looking day otherwise ....it was a strange kinda quiet too.... like all you heard and saw were birds in navagation mode....i remember just sitting there taking it all in for about an hour.
