They aren't missing anything other than a real NBA superstar but they are setting them selves up to be a long time tough out in the playoffs...To be a title contender they would need one of Favors/Hood/Hill to turn into a superstar along with keeping Hayward.

This. Let melo play 4, you have GObert to protect the paint. They also play too slow. The slow down game isn't going to work, just ask the grizzlies. ELite teams can all put up 110+ in regulation as well as defend.

Time, they still need 2-3 years to see what Lyles and Exum can turn into.

This is there first year with a solid complete roster in a stacked conference...Time is correct....


Hayward has solidified himself as a star but not having another clear cut playmaking/scoring option and staying healthy is the only thing hurting them from taking the next step right now....Favors and Burke are formidable but neither can stay healthy....

They are still young and may develop into a Grizzlies type team where they are a threat every year but never get over the hump. But Hayward is still young enough to take another leap which would help them out tremendously.

Health, pretty much it. I think they're medical team is really bad, Bulls tier. They kept Rushing Favors & Hood back, players with injuries shouldn't be returning one game and out the next 3 weeks, you sit them until they're as close it %100 as possible. George Hill is also constantly in and out.
