As a kid to teen...i stayed watching this movie randomly
classic, shoulda went triple
plus that blur song is iconic in the trailer and I forever associate the film with the song
One of Verhoeven's best.
First thing I remember about the film. I was rocking with it as a youngen maybe 9/10yrs old. It was one of few VHS tapes at my Grandmothers.
The film was dope for it's time. Maxed out with the highschool esque story writing in some parts but nevertheless a beautiful piece of cinema.
One of the most slept on movies of the past 25 years. Was ahead of its time in a lot of its ways
Just like the 1st 2 Robocops.
Classic entertaining flick
Classic. Denise Richards was a goddess.
Cool movie. Saw it in theaters. Aged pretty good. One of the best action flicks of the 90s.
Dope movie with great replay value
Overrated. It's decent but c'mon.
It's too over the top with satire. It's almost Hot Shots level of satire/spoof.
Also i've never liked the production design. Everything feels cheap.
I enjoyed it.
Just like robocop. I watched for the violence in my youth but appreciate the satire as an adult.
The book is good and incredibly influential. It created the space marine, drop ships, and other things that have become staples of military sci fi.
I like the movie because it was done the only way it could have been done. It's almost a parody film, an ironic take on the book's fascist society. Similar to how Robocop, also directed by the same dude, is an ironic take on a lot of 1980s culture and news.
