Never thought he was funny, at all. Like you said, he's too serious most of the time.

I never thought he was funny either. But his viewpoint is real as fukk.

Reminds me of one of my uncles who grew up in 60's.

But for the most part, he doesnt make me laff hysterically. .

I like Paul Mooney but he's been performing the same material for years now. I saw him perform at Caroline's on Broadway and he basically retold all the same jokes that he's performed on TV and other comedy specials. There wasn't any new material.

Most old comedians do this. Rodney Dangerfield was saying the same old jokes until the day he died.

One of the realest kats ever. Glad I was able to see him while he was still healty. Sadly he isnt well now and has cancer so his timing and memory isn't there as it once was.

But every modern comedian has bitten off of him just off the fact he was a writer for Pryor standups, sanford and son, good times, most of Pryors movies and in living color.

Mooney has stated and most folks in hollywood know he doesn't hold back and or pull punches so that is a reason he never got put on big.

Also I always enjoyed his comedy because it was so much truth and history in it. You actually learned something which I can't say the same for most comedians outside of Chapelle and Rock now a days.

Saw him last year and he did the same. I heard he was going to be like that and just went to see a legend in person. Honestly it was like watching mj with the Wiz.
