my best friend is a single dad to twin toddlers.

he did the court shyt (legitimation/custody/support plan), he has split custody and no ordered child support. but he pays the mom like 1500 off gp which covers all the living expenses and then he just pays for the random stuff.
idk how people be mad at child support for their own kids. and as you can see by the example i made... you can't blame the court system. my folk survived that shyt completely unscathed :myman:

$1,500 is different to everybody. $1,500 is 15-20% of my monthly take home after taxes. But there are people out there who bring home $2,500 the whole month. I’d be mad af if I had to give 60% of monthly take home to child support.

My takeaway is 1. Don’t judge someone else’s perspective if you don’t know their situation and 2. Don’t be freely nutting into chicks if you aren’t ready for the financial responsibility that may follow :yeshrug:

wouldn't you be mad at YOURSELF for having kids you allegedly can't afford? :jbhmm:
court/child support is doing what's best for YOUR kid. the kids didn't ask to be here

Yes I’d be mad at myself. You conveniently missed my 2nd point where I said don’t nut in women if you’re not financially ready for the outcomes.

But I’d also be frustrated that the court deemed it acceptable to take 60% of my income. That’s a lot
