Not really insecure. But have a lot on my mind lately about what direction I ultimately need to go in professionally. There's a couple of different paths I can take each has their own pros/cons. I need to remind myself there is no "right" or "wrong" decision and that as long as I'm growing and obtaining a needed skill, and retaining good communication skills I can thrive anywhere.
There's a little insecurity perhaps about how dumb a lot of employers/business owners are in general lately regarding tech - in not being confident in what they need. So potentially although they need my knowledge, their ignorance and close mindedness could keep me from eating. So with my next move I really want it to be a role where I can obtain another highly valued technical skill that I can do a lot of consulting on the side for to help build some additional side income and a "back-up career" so to speak. I am thinking SQL. Seems to be an insatiable demand in the market for peeps that know this right now. My Uncle is eating to the point of being obese (metaphorically speaking LOL) Have been procrastinating a bit but not exactly in the proper work environment to be able to utilize it on the regular basis. SQL can open up some big doors for me in terms of data and marketing analytics. Need to get it under my belt but have some practical applications for it in order to retain the knowledge permanently.
