man, i was raised on music from to aretha franklin to fleetwood mac to james brown to santana to muthafukkin' glady knight and the pips to stevie wonder and then the beatles and ohio players and i can't forget curtis mayfield, journey, doobie brothers, simply red, temptations, and dionne warwick and burt bacharach and the isley brothers, rufus and chaka khan, genesis, donny hathaway, billy ocean, patti labelle, otis redding, al green, marvin gaye, etc etc

my mom and really my pops always kept music playin' in the house. but my pops, he the music head. from doo wop to even modern day contemporary music. my pops even liked jay z's "empire state of mind" lol

my dad so old school man, he so old school he still got a tape recorder where he records songs when they come on his bigger radio and makes his own mix tapes (literally tapes, lol)

9 times outta 10, i find somethin' i like in any genre of music

i use to listen to a lot of mix cds i use to make back in the day instead of watchin' tv while layin' down and goin' to sleep

i remember bout a year ago, i had artists like ahmad jamal and norah jones on repeat because their music is just so soothin' and relaxin'
