If one of the first things someone asks you, even before your name, is "What are you mixed with?" or "What are you?" does it make them an instant c00n, especially when you're not mixed?

Seems like an inappropriate question to ask a complete stranger. I find it usually comes after a compliment like "You are beautiful. Are you mixed?" Followed by "Yes you are!" As if you can't be attractive and be Black. I've even had people get angry for "lying" about being mixed.
Most people think I am Ethiopian but I don't "looked mixed" in my opinion. I have a medium skin tone with locs. I am clearly Black.

I hate that question. shyt gets under my skin. I never ask people that ever. If it comes up in conversation that's fine but if that's the first thing you ask me I instantly right you off.
