-Watching the X-Men cartoon every Saturday morning (it was a family requirement)

-The house parties my parents used to throw

-Knowing it was time to get up and get ready for school because my moms had the radio blasting through the house

-Being told I couldn't go with the big kids because I was the youngest, but getting spoiled by the adults because I got left behind

In the Silver Lining
Riding my bike, from the just the yard at 8, to around the block at 11, to around the city by 14, took up many afternoons and weekends.
Learning/reading/my imagination ....... pre-Internet :old::flabbynsick:
All the activities and organizations I did.
Video games/impromptou basketball games/Boys and Girls Club.
Having relatives visit from the Northeast to Eastern North Carolina, since most lived up there. I thought my older cousins were so cool and sophisticated.
Figuring out girls. The whole process and how hormones impacted all that.
Listening to the radio. There was a brief period, it was around the time that Snoop Dogg got hit with murder charges, but was deemed not-guilty. "Gangsta Rap" was public enemy number 1, almost to the pinnacle, and my local "urban" radio station, Kiss 102 FM, did not play any rap that wasn't MC Hammerish, as in almost none for a good 8 - 10 months. So I found myself listening to other genres, like the Oldies, Classic Rock, Pop.

Playing street football with my brehs in the hood. All those afternoons after school. Playing in the mud, snow, sleet, rain. Even the bigger homies in the hood used to slide in and play too :wow:

Going to Hawks/Falcons games with my pops and when I hit 15, he bought me my first brew at the Hawks game.

I remember watching him shave his face in the morning, while listening to oldies. I used to be sitting on the counter in amazement and he would slap some of his after shave on my face too.

Going fishing with him and his friends and just sitting back and soaking up game.

My mom cooking a big ass breakfast and dinner every Sunday.

Going to 1st period high ass giraffe p*ssy everyday in HS.

Parties in HS when niccas in Atlanta weren't too cool to enjoy themselves. I remember niccas leaning and rocking, 2 stepping, A Town Stompin, and just having a good time.

Riding through downtown during Freak Nik with my older cousins. I would see chicks twerking on top of cars with their titties out back in the 90's.

Man i was talking about this with my boy the other day..Simple things, good vibes. I remember a time where me, my grandmother and my little sister would take these long walks every Wednesday. We'd leave early, hit the supermarket for cookies and fruit. Grandma would weigh the fruit, print out the pricing sticker and we would eat the fruit while browsing the store for more goodness :wow: She'd stick the price sticker on my hand and have the cashier scan my hand. Treats in hand we'd walk for an hour to this park that had waterfront seats and this musical tiles thing like in Big with Tom Hanks. Man i would look forward to Bigging it up before we even left the house. We'd just hang out there for hours playing, talking, cracking jokes and eating candy and fruit.
That's why i like to do that type of stuff with the little ones. Though some of these kids are not into it unless there's Mine Craft or junk food :stopitslime:They're going to appreciate this one day though.

In Elementary we'd go around slapping girls on their ass during recess kinda like this

By the way are you black?:patrice:
blacker than you.

Tag insinuates that you were also getting "tagged". Just sounds wild mango overall. Come up with a new word
