What are your thoughts on money versus fame?

In today's society where it seems that everybody is famous, even if it's only to a relatively small group of followers, it seems that becoming famous is not such a "special" thing anymore.

The two things are not interchangeable since there are plenty of people that are famous but not as rich, and there are also many who are rich, but are not famous.

Any thoughts on this? Which do you prefer? Have you always thought like this, or is this just recent as you've grown older?

Being famous for the wrong reasons and getting Money the wrong way aren't worth it. I guess I would prefer the Money

Money's a resource, it may not solve every problem but enough of it takes a LOT of stress off when used properly. Don't have to show off what I have either, just have in assets so I'm secure and have something to pass on to the next generation. Fame, on the other hand, is a potentially huge headache.

Everyone says money and initially I lean that way as well. It depends on the amounts of each.

There is something to be said about fame though. Nobody gets more chances than the famous and in today’s world where famous people are damn near worshipped, the ability to leverage your fame continuously to make money might be worth more than just a lump sum

I'd take lowkey fame like if I'm an author and I'm only recognized by my fans, I wouldn't want to be A-list actor famous where you're getting hounded at the airport and your twitter posts are considered news. Otherwise, I'd take the money and be a quiet influencer.

Money most days....fame sometimes just for free shyt and for my opinion to matter...ppl only listen to u if u are on a screen...phone, tv etc...I can say something profound and it won't matter..if someone famous takes what I say and says it the world would look at em like God...

True, but now they are prisoners to that fame, no?

I mean, it'll make it so they get the last seat at a restaurant over a less famous person. It also means that a non-famous girl might have her man leave her all of a sudden just to be near a Kardashian.
