Between the two Money > Fame. There's no freedom in fame. Pocket watchers like to point out those incredibly wealthy, generally white, guys who don't (openly) spend money on gaudy stuff as examples of frugality or humility or whatever when all they're doing is being free. They can buy a giant yacht today and cheap flip flops tomorrow and it won't matter because they aren't burdened by people's expectations. Famous people get caught up having to act in a manner consistent with their status and what people expect of them. Future couldn't even tell people that he's clean. fukk all of that I want to live my life. Money is equally as dangerous if you prioritise it beyond using it to meet your needs and wants.
Fair point. But aren't you clearly still prioritising money though? Fame is just a vehicle at that point. Would your end game be to step away from the public eye after reaching a certain level of wealth or to attempt to keep accumulating?
Everyone says money and initially I lean that way as well. It depends on the amounts of each.
There is something to be said about fame though. Nobody gets more chances than the famous and in today’s world where famous people are damn near worshipped, the ability to leverage your fame continuously to make money might be worth more than just a lump sum![]()
