So I had a few online debates on father's day...where some men were going in on women for telling each other happy father's day...

This one guy argued it was discrediting men...and they've already had mother's day...

Honestly I don't feel it's anything wrong with giving kudos to a single parent that's doing their thing...I've jokingly told my male friends happy mother's day and my female friends happy father's day...but some people seriously seemed offended..

There are sorry mother's and father's out there. ..I don't see what difference it makes:usure:

if u saw me wishing another white person 'happy black history month' im sure youd hit me with the :rudy:

i cant say i see the difference :heh:

Single mothers aren't even the ones raising the damn kids a large percentage of the time those people should thank the grandmothers uncle aunts also, I know it's a very tough situation to be in especially in this shytty economy but being bitter solves nothing and makes you look bad

So tired of these attention whores :pacspit:

Basically. I think that's what is rubbing people the wrong way more than anything. They are deflecting that they made a bad choice and trying to seek acknowledgement for that same bad decision.

Honestly I see nothing wrong if the kids know the situation and decide they want to acknowledge their mother on father's day.

But for them broadcasting it like it's their right and taking offense when others aren't basking in something you supposed to do is silly to me.

I never saw any grandparents in their 60s & 70s downgrading their kids because they are raising their grandkids. They just do it

no they need to thank uncle Sam for writing them that check.

The worst women are the ones who want acknowledgement while taking a check from uncle Sam? :what:
