It's simply a term to describe the social hierarchy men naturally divide themselves.

Any time a group of men gather together for any task, a clear pecking order is formed based on knowledge, ability, and assertiveness (unless a woman is introduced to the group and the focus shifts to proving themselves to be a worthy mate).

The men who just sort of get in where they fit in are betas, those who are leaders of men are alpha. Honestly, even if men deny it we all know it to be true.

Do you even socialize with other men without women being present? Serious question.

Even something as simple as helping my grandfather tear his barn down, a clear hierarchy was formed, my dad was the point man and directed everybody and my uncles and me fell in line.

Or at any job thats how it goes. the whole "everybody is equal" and "everybody's contribution is just as important as everyone else's" is a purely childish/ feminine line of thinking.

White men use it way more but black people do use it from time to time. I don't understand how you nikkas hate stereotypes and being put in a box but still do it to other black folk. I always see some thread on here with someone getting accused of being a CAC if they don't act like certain stereotypes. I've heard Kobe Bryant call himself and Shaq alpha males. We all aren't the same. I know you stated that already OP but you still went ahead and kind of hinted at us all being the same.

What about the word salty? I've seen beaucoup white dudes say it when I'm sure it comes from hip hop vernacular.

:childplease: It reeks of insecurities when you have to think like that. Just because you in a position of authority doesn't make you alpha. That's basic thinking. You pops probably had more experience tearing down barns so of course he would guide

That's my whole point breh, it would have been insecure to deny his expertise. Any group of men who come together to do anything will naturally form a hierarchy. We don't even consciously do this.

Think about the last time u went bar hopping with your friends, it wasn't a democratic "alright everybody let's vote" type deal. I guarantee you or one of your friends took the lead and everybody else just fell in line.

But then again, I'm from the south and even though it's fading, we still have a semblance of traditional masculine behavior. I don't really know how new black types function
