The amare deal killed them. Dude is flat out done

It's kinda like Grant hill and Tmac where they never really got to play together because of injuries

If I was the Knicks I would seriously consider blowing it up

The Knicks can't afford to blow it up.

If they blew it up, Prokhorov would land a helicopter atop MSG just so he can pee on it

They play in the same conference as Bron, so they fukked anyways :manny:
Re-sign Melo, then sign Aldridge and Rondo in 2015, that team can win a chip.

They're in the luxury tax and you want them to destroy and rebuild it?
they're out of the tax (and the cap for that matter) after next year. Financially they're not in a bad place long term.

So they would be better off being the Joe Johnson era hawks?

Put it this way: You'd need to have a real good option that's better than that, because what's the point in tanking? They have no picks. What's the point in saving your money to hopefully land 2 superstars to a gutted situation? (Miami at least had Wade) I think the frustration is really setting in that as long as LeBron James can walk and chew gum at the same time, the Knicks ain't winning a title, so when you factor that in, being the new Hawks doesn't look so bad.

if they had their pick this year i'd be more inclined to take a chance on one of these cant miss prospects but we dont. gonna have to ride this out until all that money comes off in 2015 and go from there. this isnt doom and gloom like previous knicks teams with no star players and no cap flexibilty. we're still just 6 games in here though, lets wait til the all-star break before we cast them as a lottery team.

Every team in the tax will be out after next year. The team is built around selfish players that don't play good defense. That's why they're fukked up. If they get out the tax and bring in the same kind of guys they'll be fukked again.
