Yea, I noticed the NXT crowds chant just for the sake of chanting. "This is awesome!" for a match 5 minutes in and nothing memorable happened
i think i hate the "this is awesome" chant the most out of all them because it is entirely unnecessary and self serving but it is passed off as genuine praise.
i just feel like there's this whole feeling of insincerity behind it. if you're really enamored by something, if you're really drawn in... you shouldn't have the time, you shouldn't even have the MINDSET to chant something like "this is awesome". you would be too caught up in the moment. you would be too busy cheering.
what kind of audience needs to loudly chant "this is awesome" to convey to the performers in the ring that they are enjoying the show?
the kind that wants attention.

The Nxt crowd is very hit or miss for me you have good chants like Evil Emma and Corbin sucks in the rhythm of New Day Sucks. Then you have bad chants like Sasha's Ratchet and overusing this is awesome for even basic moves.
They were awful during Sasha Banks vs Becky Lynch. They have this almost cultist love of Sasha Banks. I can just tell they wanted to hate Becky Lynch for every little thing.

The "We Are Awesome" chant is when the crowd has officially reached Maximum Neckbeard Level of Obnoxiousness.
