What are your symptoms? Do you land really hard on your feet often from doing really high ollies or whatever they’re called?
I land really hard on my feet from Ollie's and absorbing impact from them when I land a trick. So it just pains my heels and my knees take a hit from that as well.

Do squats, deadlift and other leg exercises but with proper form and moderate weight. Never go heavy weight.

Lose weight so you don’t put pressure on them

Up your calcium to keep your bones strong and healthy as you age

Don't forget single leg workouts... if one leg can support all your weight, you'll never have a knee problem that's on my mama :birdman:

some foods actually cause inflammation..had to learn the hard way..wheat fukks up my knees(pasta, whole wheat bread and rice if i eat too much) I take magnesium, vit D,glucosamine and omega oils..not totally pain free but considering i could not even squat without my knees going:sadbron:it's great improvement..deadlifts,leg extensions, weighted squats help with instability caused by your body wanting to work around those bad knees(lower back pain, hips out of alignement)You have to work on it cause your body will have a hard time coping with it as you age

Don't play basketball. If you do, and it's not professionally, quit before you're 30 at least. You'll lessen the wear and tear and lessen your risk for catastrophic knee injury.

ACL and meniscus tears got my knee messed up :francis:.
We're the same person.

Depressing as hell but I quit basketball at 28 to preserve my knees. ACL and meniscus tears on the right (18 playing college football) and meniscus tear on the left (21 playing pickup basketball) left them devastated. By 28 I was feeling it 1-2 days later every time I played. If I had kept playing at that point I'd probably be gearing up for a knee replacement right now.

1. Don't play basketball. Probably not football, soccer, or any serious running either.

2. Lose weight. Eat healthy.

3. Do low-weight leg workouts that emphasize balance. I do one-legged squats, single-leg bent-over rows, lunges, slow half-squats, and step-ups, all with minimal weight. Feel like my knees are really strong and I have a ton of muscle playing backup for the ligaments if I do anything wrong.

4. I don't know anything about collagen supplements but it's worth looking into

Some of the shyt is just genetic from what docs have told me. Dad has had multiple knee surgeries and walks with a limp at 60. Uncles have knee issues too. We not even heavy but very tall 6+

I’m 21 I just had my first knee surgery(micro fracture)

Like others have said, really strengthen your quads and other shyt down there. That’s what my physical therapist emphasize the most. And yeah if you heavy dropping a few pounds wouldn’t hurt

@Rhakim Yeah Im hanging up my hooping shoes early. It ain’t worth it,nobody paying me to play ball

It's a wrap, breh. Get some knee braces and basketball shorts and start tricking broads into thinking you play overseas ball in China and eat.

Damn, I must be lucky or I'm doing something right. I do a lot of high impact sports and I've never once had issues with my knees, even when I gained a lot of weight.

I guess I can only attribute this to a few things.

1. I walk alot. I mean at least in total 10 miles a day spread out. I prefer to walk at least 15 minutes to work there and back. I like walking around at lunch time. I really enjoy hiking. Apparently that helps the density in your bones.

2. Diet of course is very important. I take organic milled flaxseed with my breakfast which contains a lot of omega 3. Fruits and vegetables are a must everyday.

3. Knowing when to rest. It's just as important as working out. Even though I know I have the energy to go 24/7, resting is just as important as working out. If I go hard one day, I make sure to take it easy the following day.

Just my two cents. I've never had any serious health problems.

BTW Brehs, WHERE is your knee pain?

Mine is on the front, on top of my knee cap, is this a worn out joint or is the joint somewhere else?
