What car services/repairs are worth paying the dealer price?

decided to do my spark plugs for the hell of it. fukkin herb chambers cadillac wanted 520, local shop the town over is gonna do it for 160

None really unless you cant find an specialist in your area for your car. Only perk is if you want to sell it down the road buyers usually look at dealership service as a plus.

Unless its warranty work or anything involving your car's computer system basically never. I needed a replacement rim on my QX80 with a tire. The dealer wanted $1200 for the rim and tire and another 250 to put it on. I bought the the rim online for 550 and I had my local mechanic put it on for 200 and threw in an oil change and wiper fluid.

some fukkin fakkit just cracked up my headlight today no idea how or where

rock auto says 350 for an assembly, so i can prolly get out of this at about 500 bucks but god damn is this pissing me off. no way a dealer would want less than like 1200
