I think due to a lawsuit she lost.....It was like when producers in the early 2000's used samples, and they couldn't clear them for the album, so they recreated the sound of the beat and sample, it just sounds off.

As for the thread , what she went through as far as lawsuits , all major artist deal with those obstacles at some point. all comes down to her own commitment to the the industry and being in that spotlight and some artist just realize they don't want it like that. Similar to Anita baker. All her attempts to get back at it are likely only driven from pressure from others outside of her or a financial dilemma, but not because she sincerely loves the fame. she may love the music but she doesn't want what comes with it.

I think her first album was a gift and a curse for a young woman that tried to live up to a persona created by everybody but herself.She had a mental breakdown(i personally think she is bi polar) and has been gone out to lunch ever since.I loved that album but it became very clear to me after that unplugged fiasco that we were seeing her implode right befor our very eyes
