I've been around for a couple years, I'm a young breh so I was pretty lucky to get an invite when I hit the age where I really started getting into music.

It's a shame that myself and so many others will probably never get a chance to listen to some of that music ever again.

I can't be too greedy though, I'm very grateful for the couple hundred-thousand GB of music that I did get, allegedly.

Hopefully this is the start of something even better though.
da seek is still around....

but i think with streaming, i dont know if something better will pop up. and if it does i wont be privy.
my oink account was so ill, i got an email invite to what.

I would consider streaming if Tidal had a larger library.

The thing that might be the worst for me is no longer having high quality versions of shyt that I'm sampling. Looking back it does seem like a bit of an a$$hole move tho lol

Right now I've just got rutracker, think I'll just take a step back from listening to as much music as I normally do, unfortunately.

I heard they have been down for a little while but working on coming back soon. I don't really know tho I don't have an account there, I've pretty much just stuck to what

I have a Waffles account that I only used to login once every while to keep it up but with What available I never really bothered with Waffles

Damn what a brutal loss, it seemed like they had some of the most obscure stuff from every genre, music that I can't really get otherwise.

The pirate game will be squashed.

The golden age is over.

Yeah you can still do it but it is getting g increasingly harder and it is going to get worse.

I still buy majority of my music so it's not a huge deal but certain stuff even to purchase is hard as fukk.

Even stuff you wouldn't think would be.

All those old no limit cds for example are expensive and rare

I remember I wanted to get bg checkmate album for collection purposes and people want like $800 for it on Amazon :francis:

Sucks too because as a collector I want label and artist discographies but I'm not forking out hundreds either

There's other methods. Honestly with Spotify I started pirating less but the fact that you could find high quality music (FLAC) there and a myriad of artists you could discover, what.cd was great for that.

I purchase some music and use spotify but it's still hard to get certain stuff.

I wonder what will happen to all those seed box services...

Spotify is small fries to compared to what. On what you could find records worth thousands of dollars in the used market, discontinued, rare, and lost releases. It's not just about pirating, this thing was a definitive library of music on the internet. Without it a bunch of stuff will be lost on people's hard drives.

It literally had all the music preserved for us in all kinds of formats from lossless to lossy, vinyl, 24bit 192khz, the real top stuff in an organised fashion, perfect tags, album art and rip logs.

It's really not the same..trust me. The torrenting & music community just took a huge blow.

Tens of thousands of obscure releases in the highest of qualities is GONE. Never ever to be found again unless another site is made. And even then, it would take years to recreate since the database itself was wiped to protect the users.

The craziest shyt was the collages. I'd go through label discographies all of the time. You could literally just click on Bad Boy records or some small indie punk label and be able to see every single album with year of release from the very start. EP's, Singles, Vinyl, EVERYTHING.
