What cheap ass city should I move to?

But Vegas is cheaper and more of a weird place
And has more Black people

I’m trying to do research

I’d prefer a city with a lot of Blacks
New Orleans is cheap but barely any jobs

I sent out apps to Dallas and Houston

You have easy access to Vegas (cheap flights). Vegas is a weird place and I couldn’t live there.

nah.. I lived on 44th st near the the 202. Just north of the airport.

I was personally surrounded by blacks people because that was my circle. Although there were a decent amount of black people in my area.

I recommend living in in central/eastern Phoenix near the 202/51/143 highways for convenience. El mirage and all that is like another world.

Phoenix (and the surrounding area) is the better choice simply because there are more jobs available right now than anything Vegas has to offer. Yeah Vegas is cheap too, but a lot of folks are still out there struggling. Honestly, no one has any business moving there unless they have a secure hustle (hoes) or connections (more hoes). Otherwise, legit opportunities are much more limited. Most of my family/friends/associates who moved out there at some point eventually moved their asses right back after a few years because life was too hard.

Also, Vegas just has a strange vibe. I'm not really one to talk about "energies" or whatever but if I was, I'd say that place has a very odd energy that I find unpleasant and if you stay there long term, you feel it. I'm from LA and if you're in anyway familiar with it, Vegas has a very similar feeling to Palmdale or Riverside. Very soul-sucking black holeish and dark.

I go to NOLA every summer and while it's a wonderful city short term (and if I had the money I'd move there in a heartbeat), it's really not the place for transplants to start fresh. I mean, what do you even do for a living? What skill set do you have that would be more viable than some really hungry nikka from Lake Charles?

But really, like somebody else said, you'd honestly be better off looking toward Texas overall tbh.

Low cost of living? Find the poorest city in the US. Move there.

It’s plenty money to get in Vegas if you ain’t addicted to Gambling and Drinking/partying.

My wife got fam out there that are making GOOD bread card dealing and hosting. One of them went out there years ago and started as a card dealer and she moved up the ranks to hospitality for high rollers to where she gets a commission for how much they spend.

She cleared over a million last year. Her house is NUTS.

Her other cousin runs a rental car company from one of the big franchises and he games the system to rent to pimps/hoes, dope boys and other people who don’t qualify credit wise but have HELLA cash.

Dude is making a killing.

My brother is living out there right now... last time I visited, all I could see was construction and new businesses popping up everywhere. He started out as a vallet... he’s now managing a limo fleet making cheddar on the side importing Chinese products AND mining crypto (the energy is cheap AF down there)... he just got his own condo in one of those clean gated complexes... all retirees n shieet... living the quite hustle life rn.

Vegas is growing..

Cheap, beautiful area. Not that many black people but there is enough and you are close to PHX/Den/TX/Vegas.
