D.C. too but they holding on by a threadI think Detroit and Baltimore are the only big cities with majority black population
Memphis the WOAT Black cityMemphis is a MAYBE. I ain't been in some years, but when I left shyt was getting worse and worse. The First 48 can't even showcase in Memphis anymore because the mayor said it made the city look bad.
I say MAYBE because all the cacs moved out due to the high crime. With all cacs gone it ain't nothing but blacks, now it's up to them to pick up the tab. Question is, will that happen?
You sound like a nikka that doesn't travel or read about other places. There's a very large number of Fortune 500 and 1000 companies in Memphis, we're the logistics and distribution hub of America. There's a significant number of black millionaires here. You sound like you're just regurgitated shyt you read on the internetBirmingham
Mobile
Memphis
Do these places even have jobs over 50k
So they even have jobs
In all seriousness
If you look at demographics, black folks are
Moving to ATL Houston Dallas North Carolina Florida in that order so maybe one of those
How is that? Black people own this cityMemphis the WOAT Black city
Memphis the WOAT Black city
First 48 stopped recording here in 2008 (because of Willie Herrinigton), but I bet Jim Strickland wouldn't have a problem with it. All the crackers haven't moved out, they've built up Midtown and Downtown, like they're trying to have some gentrified New York type shyt going on. They turned that big ass Sears Tower on Cleveland into luxury condos. They're trying to eventually push nikkas out of North Memphis, but it wont happenMemphis is a MAYBE. I use to live there, my parents still do. Besides factory jobs, there are none. The streets are covered in potholes. Abandoned buildings that could be turned into something just sitting around. A lot of blacks but most or lower than middle class. Not only that gentrification happens overnight. That midtown area is all suburban cacs now, a few years ago it was college kids and die hard locals. Fed ex has a lock on the whole city. How is that? Black people own this city

Obviously everyone first thinks of ATL when black mecca is concerned, but what cities do you think have potential?
I could see
Birmingham (Black mayor, majority black pop, transportation hub, dirt cheap)
Mobile (Majority black pop, port is a transportation hub, dirt cheap, oil industry)
Memphis (Majority black pop, transportation hub, cheap, port on the Mississippi River)
Detroit had a chance but Kilpatrick fukked everything up
Your thoughts?![]()
You might be on to something. The only thing popping in Frayser is the Nike Factory. I live right on the border of Raleigh and Frayser (off of New Allen). They tore down Raleigh Springs Mall, but it'll be a while before they make any major improvements out here. It's plenty of cheap real estate out here though. Beale St. is kinda booming rn, because of the influx of white folks who want to get drunk, eat BBQ, and listen to bluesNah I know North Memphis aint going nowhere, but who knows, its not far from downtown and they might wanna expand. How's Frayser and Beale street? We had a couple nice joints like Liberty Land and Julians but those been closed for some time. It's been a long ass time since I been and I was a young teen. I never used to represent Memphis, but fuk it, I was raised there. I wish the city well
There's an abundance of medical jobs. We're the healthcare base of the Southeast. Most folks are poor, but there's a good number of black folks with money too, especially out in areas like Southwind, Olive Branch, ect. What happened to midtown was kinda expected to happen. They didn't want nikkas in areas like Cooper-Young anyway, that's why they marketing them as gay friendly areas. When those types of crackers move in, they definitely aren't trying to live next to black folksI use to live there, my parents still do. Besides factory jobs, there are none.
