Bloods n crips of any coast have nothing on the American Mafia out of NYC. Since the the late 1800’s. From structure to controlling construction and city jobs. For years you wouldn’t even see a black garbage man because the mafia controlled the waste management industry in the city. Jacob javits convention center was a mafia contract. When most of the projects in nyc (NYCHA) switched to energy efficient windows the mafia had that contract. We talking billions of dollars and that’s not even counting drugs , prostitution and gambling. Invented point shaving and rigged everything from college basketball games to nba to boxing matches. Literally controlled the music industry. Controlled Hollywood studios from NYC. Controlled the fashion district sweatshops in NYC. Politicians and police on the payroll. Got politicians elected. All organized crime in the country had to answer to New York. Literally the big homies of the underworld for almost a century. Them nikkas made J Edgar Hoover go on tv and say the mafia don’t exist. Don’t talk to me about “street gangs” You sound silly.

Yeah the Detroit shyt isn’t as well documented. Courtney Brown and Eddie Jackson were getting serious money in the 70’s. They moved their families to the suburbs and ran their business from there so their kids could grow up away from it.
Their sons were neighbors and went to almost all white private schools, and didn’t even know what their dads did until the feds came.
