The funny thing is that Kendrick has never been an activist rapper or taken many direct political stances. His music has largely been personal. Which is why Drake's comment was clearly a glimpse of his own white mentality. When you hear conscious raps and dismiss them as slave raps it tells me that you're a cac who cannot approach race without self destructing, mentally. The same way a lot of white people have decided that any mention or acknowledgement of race is racism. It's a panic response, deep rooted in confusion and anger. The exact type of reaction a mixed kid might have if he grew up around white Jews and tried to fit in by denigrating black people - something he's literally on camera doing when he was younger, before he started rapping.

Thats what confirmed Drake was a bad writer that wasn't built to battle rap against the likes of Kendrick and Pusha.

It's not about what he meant (would have been 100% lie doe), its all about what he wrote and how he executed it, and unfortunately for him, he did a terrible job at it.

Writer?

He was trying to explain how he don't care about the struggle and that ain't selling records
OVHoe Kock Captain been. tone deaf to social issues
That's what got him punched in the mouth by KDot and is why he is on a losing streak now...
He needs to stop shooting subliminals and quit rapping forever

J Cole did the same thing and everyone around drake is black. He’s just calling out the fact everyone in the industry knows Kendrick is doing that performative shyt.

If anyone yall consider “black” had said that, yall would be laughing your asses off.

But since yall wanna gatekeep blackness against Drake conveniently, we’re playing dumb.

Bruh, if Camron had said this yall would be dying.

Its the same shyt Hov was saying about Nas :gucci:

This whole post right here just oozes of whiteboyness.

Your bytch ass keep taking up for a fukking Canadian that disrespected the whole Black American community with that line and you call us sensitive for getting offended by it?

Mods do your job and ban this bytch right here. :scust:

Kendrick is fake woke and fake deep. Never really stands on his "activism" or goes beyond surface level

Case in point - never said a word about Gaza conflict, never endorsed Kamala in the most consequential election of all time
