I'm not as dumb as I thought. People are horrible at math and deductive reasoning. People treat politics like rooting for their local sports team.

We almost had progress on racial equality because sports weren’t on tv and forced everyone to concentrate on something else, then sports came back and it was business as usual 
This was a practice test for the big exam and the whole earth outside of South Korea failed horribly. Once an actual killer virus hits with even a 10% kill rate, we are so fukked.
The government showed its belly yet again, its never pretty.
All of us middle class people ran to our caves and left the lower classes to die out in the cold as a necessary sacrifice to keep things moving.

All the pandemic really did was bring out the selfish and greed in people. Every move states and the government have essentially made during the pandemic were based on profits over the well being of American citizens. Fukk whether you live or die, we need you out there in the workforce to keep the economy going.

That's the only reason why I have even some semblance of faith that humanity would ban together to stop an alien invasion. They'd honestly have no other choice but to or face being wiped off the earth by the aliens. You can't hide and isolate yourself from an alien invasion as you would a zombie one hypothetically. Aliens more than likely have resources and the intelligence that the average world citizen just doesn't have.

I know people talking about aliens and what not, but when the next variant gets released, america is fukked.
