To me, It felt uncomfortable hearing a man in his ladder 40's mentioning he was molested, came off as being weak IMO.

If you gonna admit something like that do by your 2nd or 3rd album get that out the way quickly.

But of course I'm not in Common's shoes I guess he felt that was the right time for him.
If he would’ve told us he was molested on Ressurection there wouldn’t have been a third album.

World was a much different place in 1994.

After Nobody's Smiling, his music has been pretty weak, to me.

Com is probably in my Top 10 MC's of all-time, but he seems to have aimed for a different sound since 2015, that just hasn't resonated with me, at all. Sh*t ain't hittin'. His dopest sh*t always felt effortless. His more recent projects feel like he's trying. He needs to holla at two legendary boom-bap producers and just let them oversee a new album, for him. Maybe like Nottz and Madlib. That lane. So he can get back to greatness, and stop putting out this elevator music.
now that you mention it, he makes adult contemporary rap now.

Pretty much. Everything starting from some of Nobody’s Smiling to A Beautiful Revolution 2 is basically easy listening background music.

A beautiful Revolution 2 was quite good imo, I need to relisten to this. He should do another collabo with Snoh Aalegra

Common already made this album twice...

That would be Electric Circus which was ahead of its time. I wouldn't be surprised if Kendrick Lamar played this for inspiration or got into the guts of Ms. Badu for TPAB.
