That's a nice savings. I know Lexus be charging an arm and leg for services sometimes, they wanted $1000 for pad and rotors all around. I got the Vertini's and Michelin's from Discount Tire as well, whole package with new sensors, moount, balance, and install for $2950

you are about to lose some weight with those Rotary Forged Vertini RFS rims and those Pilot Sport :takedat:,,,,,,
I think the last oil change was around $70 form the dealer( wasn't to bad),,,,,,,, hate going to the dealer,,,

Looking forward to it, I have the same Pilot Sports on the factory wheels now and they do well in the spring/summer/fall. They need replacing tho so the new wheel/tire setup will be just in time.

I got fortunate with the maintenance services, the previous owner (close friends) bought the service package that included tire rotation, oil filter change, and inspection. They bought the car new in 2011, the maintenance package was supposed to be for 7yrs/70K miles whatever came 1st. I bought it from them in 2018 with 49K on it, took it to the dealer and they told me it still had over 2yrs worth of prepaid maintenance left on it. No complaints from me! I will have to come out of some money though, it needs new plugs, belt, brake fluid change, and will need an alignment for the new wheels/tires. I'll buy a another maintenance plan for it once this one runs out for the LOF changes.

Replaced my cabin air filter. I'm always dragging my feet on it because I have to remove the whole glove box to get access. Stupid ass Infiniti...

Air coming through fresh now though :ahh:

Tool kits for beginners for minor DIY shyt?
instead of kits, buy tools as you need them. if you're not sure you'll use something a lot getting it from hazard fraught's a good option. when you inevitably break their shyt you can get a quality replacement, and if it survives you didn't really need it anyway lol. milwaukee, estwing, wera are good brands off top for diy shyt.

A cordless ratchet is a must. Breaker bar & torque wrench, jack, jack stands from Harbor freight.

I have this ratchet but mine came with all the sockets so just get a socket set or find one that has one.
Your friend has shared a link to a Home Depot product they think you would be interested in seeing.

That's the same place I ordered my wheels and tires from, actually I think the wheels are arriving today. Okay, I will have to keep these Conti's in mind. I just replaced 2 rear oem Michelin AS3's with the Pilot Super Sports, not bad.

Tool kits for beginners for minor DIY shyt?

I'd say try to find one of the last remaining Sears in your town (if it isnt too far). They surely will have deals on their tools. It is how I got most of my tools (Sears been dying a slow death for the past 12 years).

Really tho, a half inch drive breaker, an nice socket set, and cordless drill is the start. Like others said, you can build your toolset on an as needed basis. No need to buy a whole bunch of shyt you will use once every ten years. On top of that, some of the major tools/equipment you might use you can rent at your local hardware store, Home Depot, etc.

Would think about the jobs you are most likely to do often, change oil, build some shyt in the house, and buy that stuff.

Repost from another car thread on here:

Got the Vertini RFS 1.8's installed today. I thought the ride would be rough on 19's, actually not bad. This is gonna be the 1st set of wheels, I still want my RFS 1.2's plus I gotta do coilovers to close that gap a bit.
