and I'm slightly surprised that I remember them all

anyone interested in a Bill Wennington 95-96 Upper Deck?

I still got em, and pick up more when I got some expendable income.

Seriously a dope hobby, I can spend hours chillin, lookin at them, reading the stats and organizing them by team/last name/whatever.

These things arent worth anything anymore.Growing up you thought you woud be cakin off of these.

Yep.

Just because some guy's card in the 1930s or whenever was worth something, they had us thinking those would be worth something too. Nothing worse than some of those cards that cost extra for some little hologram or color indent. I don't even think they make them anymore. All the shops I used to buy them from closed in like the late 90s.

Got books of basketball cards from the 90's that i thought would be worth more than gold right about now but unfortunately are worthless. I got my book full of jordans and dream team cards in my office. You would think those original dream team cards would be worth gold right now since its the 20 year anniversary but if you look on ebay they are worthless. They produced too many of them:why:

separated the ones with any decent value (20 bucks and up) and took the rest to good will. i pulled up, and a dad and his son were walking in, and asked if they wanted some sports cards, and gave em the whole trunk full of cards

You guys gotta understand that there are still cards floating around worth $100s from those eras. I mean, today's cards, we're talking literally $10's of thousands of LeBron autographed rookies and stuff.

But if you got cards from the 1930's, each one is worth at least a couple bucks. And today's "commons" like a regular card of Pujols, Griffey, Jeter, etc. are worth exponentially more than "commons" of 80s/90s stars like Don Mattingly, Dan Marino, Jose Canseco. Those sh1ts are worthless unless you got an error card or something..it's the industry's own fault since they started mass producing the cards to no end.

The game has changed, the companies are smarter. Anyone investing now is pretty smart honestly, market has never been so cheap for "commons"...since a lot of collectors buy a case and basically donate the regular cards, just keeping the rookies/autographs.

You can buy a box of 2,000 or so cards (with stars) from the past year for about $10. If you take the time to dig through the box and sell them by team or player or something, you can make a couple bucks. Give it time, a few decades from now, the cards from today will be worth something. I'm not saying prices like cards from the 50s/60s, but they'll at least be worth a few dollars per card.

:ahh: fukk breh, there was this store that was my favorite store growing up, called Strike Zone. Cards of all types imaginable, heaven for that kind of thing. Also had comic books + other stuff like that. Was so sad when it closed down, I must've been like 12. Every time I walk down that same street I always look at that spot wishing it'd magically somehow appear again
