As long as he's on Interscope, he's pandering to the lowest common denominator cause he can actually still sell records.

Relapse was considered a failure, and it still went multi and won Grammy's...and a lot of his real longtime fans think it's one of his best releases..... Shows you what kind of direction they took him in after that

He's still connected to a specific demographic that's not really plugged into rap at all, and the record company won't risk losing that. Prolly why we won't get an Alchemist record over a Skylar Grey record

But as for the topic. To be quite honest MMLP 2 was the perfect ending to Em's career. At this point Em literally has NOTHING to rap about.

His raps now are just a bunch of run on sentences flows with out dated punch lines.

When he is absolutely FOCUSED he is at his best. Just listen to his verse on Compton.

At this point he might as well drop Relapse 2 on Apple Music and collect some dough from that. Then drop a pure hip-hop album sorta like Infinite filled with nothing but beats from DJ Premier, Dre, Alchemist, 9th Wonder, etc.

But the thing with Em is that he doesn't adapt to the current climate of rap right now. He already sold his records and literally has nothing to prove now.

And if u listen to his current verses now especially his Shady XV cypher verse he is getting annoyed of these rappers getting the praise for mediocre music, rapping like pure shyt, and getting the "crown."

As a Em fan I honestly wouldn't mind if he doesn't drop another album again. But if he does..I'm still gonna listen :yeshrug:

I don't know about direction. I just want a return of the incredible flow, no yelling, and no corny punchlines. Production wise, I'd want to hear him over some Alchemist, Havoc, Pharrell (minimalist Hell Hath No Fury type production), and Timbaland beats.
