i know he sucks now, but whatever
he is still a huge rap star
i think he needs to drop his 808s and heartbreak
12 songs of him singing.no rapping.... something fresh and new for em
a new direction
Some of my favorite Eminem songs have him trying to carry a tune. I was really fukkin with "Stronger than I was" until he fukked it up screaming
He was on some smooth, 80's rock, karate kid, glory of love shyt...and then UGHHHHH
Beautiful is a GREAT song, almost like a country record. Hallie's song was sappy but effective. Stimulate is probably my favorite song by him ever and that's some straight up trippy rock vocals...not a whole album, but give me some of that.
As long as he's on a major we're not gonna get a pure "boom bap" type album from him, nor a whole joint over modern production which would probably go over well with people who aren't really Em fans, kinda like Recovery did. It was cats on here that LIKED that album and couldn't understand why actual Eminem fans wanted him to "relapse" again.
One of Em's greatest strengths is his conceptual/story telling ability, he needs to play to his strengths and maybe do another concept album. More off the wall shyt, less stuff about his life that we know every detail of already.
Also, let Dre handle the lions share of the production again. Relapse to me is probably my favorite album of his to listen to right now, and really the first Eminem album where he did more than 3 or 4 beats...and you see how he got off on Medicine man. Em can still rap his ass off, he just has had no artistic direction while Dre was in his coffin. Now that he's active again he should really let his mentor steer the ship so we can get another quality album.
