Psychopathic fantasy.

Pac has one of the most "autobiographical" catalogs in music history.Shyt is literally written in blood.

Tracks like these were dope when I was a juvenile, but I grew out of em real quick.

Now you tell me which one sounds more like a conceptualized "psychopathic" fantasy & which one rings reality, substance?

Pac, chess..........DMX, checkers

We about to start some shyt up in here

Again, i understood what you was sayin but just the word "fantasy" caught me. Cuz theres no debate about who rapped more fantasy between the 2 as far as what they lived/done.

As for the comparison, then its not a fair. Why not compare a song like "Slippin'" instead of those? Or "The Convo"? "Ready To Meet Him"?

And i dont think you really got Its Dark And Hell Is Hot if thats how you see it. The reality of it is that X was battling good vs bad within himself, hence a song like Damien. Thats the overall point of IDAHIH. God vs devil. X grew up with a religious mother & fam but he also grew up messed up. Bad mother relationship, foster home, in & out of jail since a kid, drugs & being a stick up kid vs having a family & feeding them the right way, doing better for his kids & wife, his religion etc.

So Damien basically points to what i just said. The struggle between doing right vs doin wrong. Essentially God vs devil.

I compared them because they're both story telling tracks about running from the authorities .

Personally, I think "Slipping" is far & away the best song X ever made.Next would be "nikkaz Done Started Something"---his verse on that joint was quintessential X..Timeless dopeness

As for the rest of those tracks, X depended on Christian undertones too much for my liking. Not that I have anything against Christianity, I just find it unoriginal. It's so easy to convey "spirituality" that way.I understand it works for some folks.Black folks love them some God--And for good reason:whoa:

And Damien is a good concept.I just thought it was too fictitious, light......But you make a good point. When you weigh it up against the backdrop of his life, it adds a lil more gravity to it.

And X is one of the coolest celebs I've ever met.I'll give him that.Met him twice in AZ on 2 different occasions.Once at a night club & another time at Circle K(convenient store)----He walked in and paid for everybody's shyt.Good dude
