There's been a lot of threads like this in the past week. Trying to get the coli to "discuss" the relationship between the Diaspora/Continental Africans. This is starting to seem like an agenda now.

The coli fam has been very positive tho and there has been love shown on both sides but we need to watch these thread starters tho. :camron: @BmoreGorilla

Well duh, of course not :yeshrug: Probably just some people in Nigeria or one of the countries but it is still interesting to here people's views on this none the less.
Not really. What we need is progress topics and not random opinions about each other.

Not really because they don't represent all of Africa.
If he's is in Nigeria they should say Nigerian.

Africa is not homogenous
That doesn't mean we can't discuss what different African people think about African Americans though? Also you don't have to be that literal though I see your point :yeshrug:It is some what click bate but let's still not throw out the baby with the bath water here or cry over fufu :francis:

This will allow us to work towards that by clearing up the misconceptions. The great Malcolm x has a speech about developing understanding, you have to do that first before you can resolve any issues. A lot of the opinions we hold about each other are incorrect and yet we want to act like all Africans like African American people and we could go back to Africa with no issues when that is not the case. It's not always that easy and it would be beneficial if we were able to clarify these misconceptions and learn more about what we think about each other and why.

You're ignoring the elephant in the room much like white folks wanting to act like the slave trade never existed. I would go on record saying that Africans can be very nasty to African Americans and Vice Versa, but to work towards progress we have to be able to at least have discussions like this first to dispel the myth:jbhmm:

Your proving my point cause your taking the fufu thing literal :mjlol: you know what I meant.

With that said, tell us something about Kenya culture. I want to learn more about the countries of Africa, and I started with Nigeria studying a lot about IFA and the culture their. In kenya do they make clothes out of kente cloth? :jbhmm: what do they eat out there?

Tbh that didn't help. The album is trash.

I'm hearing it heavy here in Newark and the joint is #5 on iTunes and #1 in over 22 countries
.

Though i admit dude is definitely dropping it at a time where Jay, Kendrick, 21 Savage, 2 Chainz are all in rotation, too much competition this month.

Bruh I had no ideal, this popped up on my youtube recommendations and I thought it would be a good dialogue. I didn't see any similar threads on here though cause I'm not always on the locker room, a lot of times in the booth most of the time.

If Africans have a negative opinion of African Americans they are doing what every immigrant does when they arrive to America. Racist opinions on African Americans is a final step of assimilation for an enterprising immigrant. The formula goes like this: distance yourself from African Americans (even though in society Africans are virtually indistinguishable), and reap off the benefits and advances made by the civil rights movement. And try your best to ingratiate yourself with white society. (south, east Asians and middle easterns are notorious for this). And of course, not every African thinks like this, so the narrative of Africans as a whole disliking African Americans is obviously false. But you can't deny that anti African american bigotry is still there :ld:
