I seriously hate how everything in America is so racialized. It's so stressful and frustrating
:snoop:
especially if you're an artist not even making remotely political art or music and it's not offensive.
I just try to tell young black DJs and producers to just do them and people will follow. don' even try to pander to any specific demographic...if they fukk with you they fukk with you if they don't fukk em

Yo I feel like unless you are a black musician artist in hip hop or R&B you can escape scrutiny.

Yo I've had people call me a c00n...black people call me a c00n for making techno and house music...even though that's OUR shyt! That shyt gotta end! I aint yo enemy! And damn...I've had racist alt right whiteys attack me on Twitter! Just do you!

And @Beyoncé knowles-Carter I would like to thoroughly apologize to you for any dispute we may of had earlier. I was being mad uncool and hopefully you do not take it as any sort of negative indignation of my character.

But this is a part of the uphill battle black creative's face and I've detailed it in length on my Twitter account.

Your an idiot if you fall for it too.

Jay Z has done it successfully...

nikka bragged about selling out...

10 years later, he trying to create his own streaming platform...nikka crying on stage about "they" not wanting him to be "successful" because he's Black...because his platform was a flop and he got swindled by some Eurocacs...

When this nikka entire career was about bragging about selling out and being a "business, man not a businessman"

Claim the industry is racist and that Black people need to stick together...

We seen this movie multiple times by multiple stars...
It is though....and we do need to be supporting our own. fukk having all these white motherfukkers gentrify us out of our own industries and culture.
also don't even be thinking that the industry is colorblind or that race doesn't matter there.

I personally like keeping it real and keeping it music related but I also keep it mad black too.

Black artists' goals should not consist of "crossing over" and losing their integrity in the process. You shouldn' have to blatantly pander to white people and those black artists who do don' know the white demographic at all or what they want. You can't pander to one demographic when you are too used to pandering to another...

how does a black artist loses integrity when they are engaging a diverse fan base? when you have a diverse fan base that means more opportunities fo us in different capacity's in the music industry
