how does a black artist loses integrity when they are engaging a diverse fan base? when you have a diverse fan base that means more opportunities fo us in different capacity's in the music industry
as far the art and the content is concerned. depending on what you did and if you compromised your sound/art/vision to do so.

I think of black artists who managed to gain a diverse fan base without having to compromise their sound/art/vision but then again that can also be adapting and evolving in that sound/art/vision.

there is no compromised art when it come to respecting your audience beliefs and wishes, black artist can take racy stage shows to japan and india, simply because your ny fan base likes it. you can't go to the bible belt and perform a profanity laced show and expect to not get shyt for it
