People generally adjust their definition of a man based on whatever their strong points are to validate themselves. For example, some dudes think being a man is making a steady income and being a solid husband/father, while others think it's fukking bytches, or being physically strong, or liking and doing "manly activities", etc.

Personally, I think being a man is knowing who you are and being yourself, and being confident in it.

"As Below, so Above." / "As Within, so Without."

Masculine = Focus on Without/Above. Feminine = Focus on Within/Below.

So that's the difference between the masculine and the feminine, and their human manfestations (men + women). You bring the masculine and the feminine together and you have the whole.

As far as the difference between a man and a boy, Our original cultures had rites of passage into manhood. They involved mastering your environment and culminated in staring death in the eye in some form.

So my answer to the difference between a man and a boy is fear of death.

Every activity that demonstrates masculinity involves mastery of death in some form. Since death is the end of this plane of existence, everything else falls beneath that. For example, saying you can't approach a woman is like saying that approaching women is a fate worse than death. Which is why we need rites of passage back. But they have to be in line with the original understanding of how to live and we're currently set against that across the globe, because we intend on understanding life through the eyes of the Akyewadifo/ Tamahu/ Yurugu/ Germ man/ European

@VegasCAC hit it on the head, though I'm still strict in my belief that a man must be able to provide for his tribe.
The first on the scene if danger is present and the first to be called when mom, grandmom, wife, child, ect. Needs providing for.
If you're a single guy with no family, then it obviously won't apply beyond ensuring you're provided for and handling your business.

If he provides his own dwellings, food, etc, relys on none but himself. handles obligations like his children, bills.etc.

Chooses his own purpose based on what works for him. Isn't influenced by others. Aside from his children, puts himself first.

Death
1. Having your own stuff. (IE: house/apartment, car, job, etc...)
2. Not depending on parents anymore.
3. Gainfully employed.
4. College educated (don't have to finish a degree per se...just go for a year or two and see how life really is.)
5. Be Honorable (Do what you say...and say what you mean)
6. Know how to fight
7. Be in good physical shape (Real men aren't flabby or weakly)

Mostly...that life checklist.

Simply being born as one. Self Sufficiency, Intelligence, Integrity and all of the other qualities society uses to define men should be a standard both genders are held to.
