Short term: put everything into Aaron Holiday being the future PG, sell high on Cam (a team might overpay to make Cam their big acquisition) and hope the teams that would otherwise pay Ayton don't get Jabari Smith, Holmgren or Banchero in this draft.

I could see one of those convoluted 3-4 team deals where team X gets Capela, Phoenix gets Collins and Atlanta gets Ayton. Hornets make the most sense outright but Jordan might not wanna pay the lux for that roster (Ayton, Miles Bridges, LaMelo in 2 years), but they have the most to give back in terms of young cheap assets (13 & 15, Thor, Washington-Renner, Kai Jones)

Detroit is only an option if they'd rather draft Ivey over the field.

Call Houston and see if they'll give up Wood/Gordon.

this summer has the least amount of maneuverability ever.
I could see that Atlanta trade as a straight up Capella/Hunter for Ayton. However, Detroit is probably going to offer him something ridiculous because he is prime for the taking. They need a engine too, and I don’t know if there is one out there to get. CP3 has been there engine and he folds to much to really make a run.

They might find a taker for Mikal and that could be a way they fix the team, because he is overpaid unless he is making that on a championship core.

If I’m other teams around the league, I’m calling Toronto and asking what would it take to get either Siakam or OG.

The gulf from being a "playoff" team and finals contender is so dramatic in the NBA. Like everyone knows I'm a Griz fan so they start asking what would it take for them to get over the hump. And even with full health and bringing everybody back Ja improving Bane improving etc, Zaire Williams would need to turn into a top 15 player in the league. Like it's that dramatic. Other than that it's 1st or 2nd round exit depending on the matchup.

It would really help if JJJ could become more than just Myles Turner with a greenlight shoot whenever he wants. The problem the Grizzles have is that they have the assets to get one of those players, but one isn’t available on the market. Even then, any of those type of major trades will require them having to give up Bane.

Ownership says that they’ll pay whatever it takes to keep everyone together but they shouldn’t do that and owners always say that until the luxury tax bill comes in. Now what they should do is pay whatever it takes to keep Tyus Jones as he’s going to be needed with how wreckless Ja plays.

It's OVER for The Suns.

They were NEVER all that to begin with and they're a squad FULL of CHOKERS.

They got to the final because everyone the faced had key players out injured.

Their year was LAST YEAR.

A time machine.

Going into next season (Assuming everyone is healthy) where is Phoenix?

Off rip these teams are better IMO

Dallas
GSW
Clippers
Memphis

then you have these teams nipping at their heels
Twolves
Denver

Then you got the lakers (assuming they can move :russ:)
Utah - if they can resolve the rudy D mitch fiasco.

Phoenix might be done really competing. CP3 a year older, Ayton probably won't be back. Is booker going to make a leap to become a dominant 2 way player?

I don't think they should do anything drastic just be young and exciting, make money and lose. Not worth it to add expensive players to end up losing as well. You can let Tyus go as well never spend a lot on role players just draft somebody else or sign a young player to the same type of deal you originally got Tyus for

They're going to have to consolidate assets within the next year or two as they can't nor shouldn't pay everyone. Not to mention the fact that once Ja's supermax kicks in then they're going to have less flexibility moving forward. There's enough young guys on the roster to only add more of them through the draft with the picks that they have.

They're like the Utah Jazz last year. A good team that has everything you would want on paper for a title contender. They've hit their apex as a unit. Just like Utah, they were disrespected all year by people who thought their record was a fluke and now they blew a lead to team they were up 2-0 on, validating the skepticism. Getting beat like this, blowing series leads takes something out of you. We seeing how Utah has been handling it. They're about to blow it up. Phoenix is heading down that same road.

They probably will try and maximize a S&T deal for Ayton and retool that way.

Internally, I don't think they have much belief in him, and they were winning at the same pace when he missed time in the regular season. After the rift with him and Monty last night, and him not being able to dominate Dallas' lack of size, they may be done with him.
