Rest In Power Kobe
This isnt a dynamic team at all
Back? He's never seen the East.Time for Christopher Paul to come back to the Eastern Conference, he'd be a great fit for the Washington Wizards
Phoenix is closer to it, but really neither team had everything you want/need on a contender. Phoenix overachieved last year, and I think the injury factor has proven true. Utah flat out has great coaching/system.They're like the Utah Jazz last year. A good team that has everything you would want on paper for a title contender. They've hit their apex as a unit. Just like Utah, they were disrespected all year by people who thought their record was a fluke and now they blew a lead to team they were up 2-0 on, validating the skepticism. Getting beat like this, blowing series leads takes something out of you. We seeing how Utah has been handling it. They're about to blow it up. Phoenix is heading down that same road.
Also, I'm usually an advocate of not blowing up a team, especially a team that won 64 games, and would say run it back, but their situation is unique. CP3 is 37, barely will have a year left in him. Ayton will probably be gone if him and Monty are fighting plus his contract situation. So probably a sign & trade and hope to get some quality pieces back.
I have no idea what's going on with DA, son is soft but it made no sense not to at least attempt to run the offense through him when the Mavs were going small. The Suns really must not fukk with him on any level. The main problem is that CP3's just too old now, he's gonna be 38 by the time the playoffs roll around next year and I can't rely on him staying healthy. They've got to cut his mins and games way, way down if they wanna keep him the starting PG
Do they need more shooting?
Size and more defensive dogs?
A backup PG who can be the heir apparent to CP3?
Do you keep Ayton at less than the max at 5 years $125M like ATL did with John Collins? No one has cap room to offer the max.
If you’re James Jones, what do you do?
