I remember when i used to go grab a plate at my best friends house a few years back. His mom had all kinds of dishes made I wasn't used to eating. All kinds of casseroles. I do love some green bean casserole. My dad used to make it all the time. Nothing like a good pumpkin pie too. With some whipped cream or even better, ice cream. Pecan pie good also. Hispanics be eating some way different foods than the traditional ones tho. We weren't even gonna have a turkey this year, until my parents decided to go to my godmothers house. Her husband Italian so they might have turkey. We be eating ham (pops got two sitting in pots waiting for cooking), moro (brown rice and black bean mix thing, yuca, even roast a pig sometimes too. I doubt I'd be eating turkey, stuffing, cranberry, etc if it were only Hispanics cooking. We prefer ham and pork. This making me hungry.

My boy's ex invited us over to her white family's home for Thanksgiving (mine were out of town, I was so mad). He had warned us about the horrors of white cooking but I was fukkin hungry I didn't give a shyt. These malfunctioning taste bud ass ciccidy caccidy cacs made some sort of sweet potato casserole which was 5% sweet potato and 95% Captain Morgan. I was so mad to the point I that I just left and went to Golden Corral.
